When does The Curse of Oak Island season 14 start?
On 2 October 2026, the HISTORY Channel issued a press release announcing that Season 14 of The Curse of Oak Island premieres in the United States on Tuesday, 10 November 2026, at 9 PM Eastern.
Until 2 October, TV listings had the premiere scheduled for 3 November, but it was pushed back a week, presumably because it would have conflicted with the US midterm elections.
The season will consist of 25 episodes, produced by Prometheus Entertainment, and will be followed by History's Mystery Files at 10 PM ET/PT.
How to watch season 14
New Oak Island episodes stream the day after broadcast on the HISTORY Channel app and history.com and through TV providers' on-demand services.
New episodes air on the HISTORY Channel in the United States first, then in Canada the following Sunday, before reaching the rest of the world.
You can also watch via live TV streaming services. Platforms such as Philo, Sling TV, and Hulu + Live TV carry the History Channel.
What happened in season 13?
The Curse of Oak Island wrapped its 13th season on 5 May 2026 with the episode Pure Gold.
In that season finale, the Oak Island team made an astonishing revelation on Lot 8 and multiple treasured discoveries in the Money Pit area.
When Season 13 ended, the team had more finds to consider than ever before, Steve Guptill's final heat map plotted over 800 discoveries, while Laird Niven put the year's total closer to 1,200.
The Money Pit and unfinished business
Down in the Money Pit area, the season's final caisson, MP-1, hit bedrock at 210 feet, five feet short of its planned depth. Gary Drayton recovered nineteenth-century drill pipe, a badly twisted iron fragment, and stained wood with an unusual, palm-like grain. It was the wood that gave Rick Lagina pause: as he pointed out, it had no natural reason to be down there. That unfinished business sets the stage for season 14 perfectly.
What to expect from The Curse of Oak Island season 14
According to the HISTORY Channel's press release, the brothers "believe they've never been closer to solving the Oak Island mystery", and in the new season they "push further than ever, determined to validate a lifetime of work and the legacy of generations of searchers who came before them. " Season 14 is set to run 25 episodes, the same as Season 13.
Digging targets in season 14
Filming ran from June through late September 2026, with the full core team expected to return and new digging targets at Lot 4 and Lot 8 joining the ongoing Money Pit search.
At the Lot 8 giant boulder, expert Fiona Steele estimates the cradle may date to the 1200s, and Marty Lagina intends to excavate underneath it in Season 14.
Returning cast
Rick and Marty Lagina, together with Craig Tester, remain at the heart of the search they have led on screen since 2014. Recent seasons have brought a familiar group to the island: Alex Lagina, Peter Fornetti, Gary Drayton, Doug Crowell, Scott Barlow, Terry Matheson, Steve Guptill, Billy Gerhardt, and Jack Begley.

Richard George Lagina, better known as Rick, was born on 25 January 1952 in Kingsford, Dickinson County, Michigan. A retired postal worker, Rick is considered the main driving force behind the Oak Island project. His interest in the island's mysteries began in childhood when, at age 11, he read an article about the Oak Island money pit in Reader's Digest and shared the story with his younger brother, Marty.
Martin Lagina was born on 26 August 1955 in Kingsford, Michigan. He is an engineer, vintner, and star and producer of The Curse of Oak Island.
Rick and Marty Lagina purchased a 50 per cent stake in Oak Island Tours Inc., the company that owns the island, while Dan Blankenship retained the other half. Prometheus Entertainment later approached the brothers to develop a reality show, which became a global phenomenon.
In a HISTORY UK interview, Rick reflected on what drives the search:
Everything we find we use and adapt and change the search agenda for the following year. The problem, of course, is there's a finite amount of time in which to accomplish the task at hand.
In a Reality Blurred interview, Marty was candid about the show's authenticity:
Everything about that show is real. There are no scripts. We said early on we would not do a scripted show. It's two guys from northern Michigan who are really, really trying to unravel an ancient mystery.
What discoveries have been made on Oak Island?
Over the course of the series, some of the artefacts uncovered include a Spanish copper coin, human bone fragments of Middle Eastern ancestry, and a hundreds-year-old rhodolite garnet brooch.
The team's ongoing findings have fuelled the Laginas' theory that Oak Island was visited numerous times by mediaeval European cultures, including the Vikings and the Knights Templar, and may contain multiple artefacts and undiscovered treasures.
Despite about two decades of searching, Marty and Rick have not yet found the Oak Island treasure. That fact alone is what keeps millions tuning in each season.
