Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has been hailed by a former Whites boss
Neil Warnock has saluted the work done by Leeds United manager Daniel Farke while assessing their rivals Manchester United.
The 13th-placed Red Devils have won just once across their opening seven Premier League games and were held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds last week. Leeds, meanwhile, sit seventh on a tally of 10 points.
Manchester United’s draw at Elland Road was followed up by a humiliating Champions League defeat to Como, prompting a heightening of the scrutiny towards manager Michael Carrick.

Neil Warnock makes Leeds United comparison
Warnock, who led Leeds between February 2012 and April 2013, told talkSPORT: “I just look at the comparison with Leeds.
“I think Daniel’s done a fantastic job there. It’s only last year they were having him out. They wanted to get him out and he sorted it out. Now, he’s got the dressing room buzzing and the all behind them.
“You can see that on the field of play. But here [at Manchester United], you can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel.”
Neil Warnock’s Leeds United tenure
Warnock’s reign as Leeds boss did not work out but the 77-year-old has enjoyed plenty of success elsewhere in Yorkshire.
He steered Sheffield United into the Premier League in 2006 and worked wonders to save Rotherham United and Huddersfield Town from relegation in 2016 and 2023 respectively.

“I took that, you know, grandkids had just been [born] at Boston Spa, where the training ground is, and my son pestered. And I was just about to go to Wolves. I met the Wolves chair; I should have gone to Wolves.
“My son being up there just pushed it, and it was the wrong time. I won't go into details, because Ken [Bates, ex-Leeds owner] will sue me. But it did show me, though, what the club is. I mean, it's the biggest club I've ever managed, and that's no disrespect to any of the others.”
