The Green Bay Packers are 3-2 following their dominating 31-7 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon. Indeed, there was a great deal to love in that game in regard to how they played as a team. Defensively, the Packers continued to play at a high level and generated five turnovers.
What was arguably more impressive, though, was how well the offense played. After the offensive line struggled early in the year, the newly signed veterans brought stability to the trenches, and quarterback Jordan Love has enjoyed more time in the pocket as a result. He used this stellar protection to pick Chicago’s defense apart in Week Five.

Love completed 25 of his 31 passing attempts for 367 yards and two touchdowns against Chicago. He also had an in-game passer rating of 137.5.
For his efforts, Love was voted the FedEx Air Player of the Week in the NFL. As a result of the win, FedEx will donate $2,000 to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.
Through the first five games of the 2026 NFL season, Love has a 60.5% completion percentage, 1,408 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, just three interceptions, and a 95.5 passer rating. He is the first Packers quarterback since Brett Favre to have multiple touchdowns in each of the first five games to start a given season.
Love’s performance on Sunday also emulated Favre in a different way. He completed four passes of 40+ yards in the contest, becoming the first Green Bay quarterback since Favre to do so. The Pro Football Hall of Famer accomplished the feat in 2003 in the famous game he played right after his father passed away.
