The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has cancelled the approved layout plan of Tele Town Housing Scheme in Zone-5, Islamabad, citing the developer’s failure to comply with approval conditions for more than three years.
According to a public notice issued by the CDA’s Directorate of Housing Societies, the layout plan for the 499.50-kanal scheme, sponsored by Tele Town (Pvt.) Ltd., was approved on March 24, 2023, subject to certain conditions.
The authority said it repeatedly served notices on the developer between March 2023 and November 2024, directing it to fulfill the approval requirements. The company was also given final opportunities to explain why the layout plan should not be withdrawn in May and December 2025.
However, the CDA said the developer failed to take practical steps to comply with its directions. The authority has now withdrawn the layout plan with immediate effect under the applicable Islamabad zoning and private housing scheme regulations.
The CDA has advised the public to verify the approval status of housing schemes with the authority before purchasing plots, houses or other properties. It warned that it would not be responsible for consequences arising from purchases in schemes that lack the required approval or no-objection certificate (NOC).
The notice also warned developers, builders, advertisers, estate agents and other stakeholders against carrying out unauthorized construction or development, saying violations could lead to legal action.
