Northern Ireland head to Portugal with their Women's World Cup 2027 dreams hanging by a thread.
Michael McArdle's side were thrashed 4-0 in the first leg of their play-off semi-final at Inver Park on Friday and will need a miracle if they are to progress to the final round of qualifying.
The odds were always against the visitors, as Portugal are a Nations League A side that topped their group in qualifying, and though they showed plenty of fight, the gap in quality was all too clear to see.
It feels like a free hit for a young Northern Ireland squad, who, barring a miracle, will have to wait a little longer for a first major tournament is set to go on
