The Indianapolis Colts could bring in a punter this week as some insurance for Rigoberto Sanchez.
Sanchez injured his foot on the blocked punt in Sunday's loss to the Tennessee Titans.
According to the Indy Star's Joel Erickson, Sanchez was optimistic about how he felt after the game, but it's possible that the injury could linger into this week.
So, given what sounds like uncertainty around Sanchez's status for Sunday, special teams coordinator Brian Mason mentioned on Tuesday that an addition at punter is possible.
"Certainly, it's a possibility you bring in somebody as an insurance policy, so that they're here and ready to go," Mason said, via The Athletic's James Boyd.

This season, Sanchez ranks second in yards per punt attempt and sixth in average hang time.
The Colts signed Sanchez to a contract extension during the offseason.
