Passengers on the Tel Aviv Light Rail will soon experience Israeli art during their daily commutes.
Beginning Thursday, October 29, at 11:00 a.m., the Allenby Station on the Red Line will transform into a public gallery, hosting MUZA on the Line, a new exhibition by the Eretz Israel Museum.
The unique initiative represents the museum’s first-ever collaboration with the light rail. Organized alongside Red Line operator Tevel Metro, the exhibition aims to bring culture directly into public spaces thousands of commuters pass every day.
The exhibition features original artworks and high-quality photographs from three editions of the prestigious Tel Aviv Biennale of Crafts and Design (2020, 2023, and 2026).
The displayed works explore the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. Commuters can expect a wide range of media and materials, including ceramics and glass; mosaics and stone; and textiles and metal.
Many of the featured pieces demonstrate novel applications of age-old artisanal techniques, while others integrate cutting-edge digital technologies and experimental production processes.
Over 20 prominent Israeli artists, creators showcased at exhibition
The exhibition showcases the talents of more than 20 prominent Israeli artists and creators, including Meira Una, Dafna Birger, and Esti Drori.
The exhibition is curated by Orit Lotringer and Henrietta Eliezer Brunner.
