Julien Stephan has confirmed QPR are assessing another knee injury suffered by Richard Kone following their 3-0 defeat to Birmingham City.
Kone had only recently returned to action after suffering a knee problem while playing for Rangers’ development side, but was forced off again on Saturday.
“He felt something with his knee, but I don’t know exactly,” Stephan told West London Sport.
The QPR boss was also left frustrated by his side’s performance at Birmingham and felt a lack of freshness played a major part in the defeat.
“This is only the second defeat, and the second defeat after 11 games of the season with the [player unavailability] situation we had to manage I think is not too bad,” he said.
“But today it’s clear that they were more efficient, and probably they were more fresh – we had a lack of freshness.
“I think we were less efficient than usual.
“If we are more fresh, we will have more quality, because I know the players are able to connect together and do some good movement collectively.”
