Hello and happy Tuesday, everybody. Hope you’re hanging in there with no Sox ball to talk about.
We do have World Series ball to talk about, though. Our divisional foes, the Tampa Bay Rays (while donning those lovely Devil Rays unis; I hope they go back to that look full time) clinched the American League pennant last night. With Milwaukee’s pennant sweep completed a few days ago, we’re in line for a Brewers-Rays Fall Classic: a pairing that you’d only see 15 years into your MLB The Show franchise mode simulation.
My open-ended question to you, dear reader, is this: What lessons from Milwaukee and Tampa Bay can the Red Sox take away with them heading into the winter? This could mean anything you’d like it to be, but I’m curious to read your thoughts. I think the Red Sox should consider having a starter who can throw 105 miles per hour or installing an aquarium of their own in the outfield at Fenway, but I’m open to other ideas as well.
Be good to each other and go Sox.
