Authorities have registered a money laundering case against Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Amir and his three sons, according to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The FBR said its Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation, Inland Revenue, registered the case over alleged tax evasion of Rs. 329.65 million.
Inland Revenue Inspector Muhammad Usman filed the complaint. The case also names Amir’s sons, Muhammad Hadi, Saad and Ibrahim.
FBR Alleges Changes to Asset Declarations
According to the FBR, Amir understated the value of his assets from 2014 to 2019. He initially declared assets worth Rs. 3.5 million for the 2014 financial year.
The authority further alleged that he unlawfully revised his asset declarations during the 2025–26 financial year.
Following the revision, the declared value of his assets for 2014 rose from Rs. 3.5 million to Rs. 730 million.
