MOMENCE, Ill. (WCIA) -- Champaign Central's girls' flag football season came to an end in the sectional finals.
The Maroons fell 26-22 to Bradley-Bourbonnais, ending the year with a 13-3 record in their second season. Flag football was sanctioned by the IHSA for the 2024-25 season.
Central cruised through the playoffs, winning regionals 46-12 over Peoria Richwoods and advancing to the sectional finals with a 26-19 win over Edwardsville.
The Maroons return a strong core, including sophomore quarterback and former WCIA 3 Athlete of the Week Eden Harding.
