Serbia's Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) President Vladimir Dimitrijevic said Sunday's snap parliamentary elections were proceeding largely smoothly, despite minor incidents and disputes between polling board members.

At polling station No. 25 in Doljevac, voting was briefly suspended after an individual allegedly attempted to vote using multiple identity cards. Police intervened, took a statement and further proceedings are expected.
Dimitrijevic also warned that some polling board members had illegally removed curtains from voting booths, stressing that ballot secrecy must be protected.
"The polling board is responsible for ensuring the secrecy of the vote," he said.
Other reported irregularities included damaged ultraviolet lamps and spilled election marking spray.
Serbia's snap parliamentary elections are being held at 8,392 polling stations, with 6,451,292 eligible voters. Voting is also taking place at 93 polling stations across 37 countries.
