The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 265th consecutive day on Tuesday.
PKR closed at 276.87 after gaining three paisas against the US Dollar today.
“At current pace, PKR can cross 275/US$ by early 2027,” a day trader told ProPakistani.
TRT World earlier reported that Pakistan is going to sign a massive defence deal with Turkey, Qatar and Indonesia. This supported currency trade ahead of the closing session.
The rupee has consistently reported gains against the dollar since December 25, 2025.
Other Currencies
The rupee lost 62 paisas against GBP and 34 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD).
It lost 14 paisas against the Euro (EUR) and 47 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD).
PKR was stable against the UAE Dirham (AED) but lost two paisas against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
