Parts of South Africa could experience more showers and thunderstorms on Sunday.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) forecasts partly cloudy and warm to hot conditions across much of the country, with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms expected in some areas.
The rainfall could affect outdoor activities as South Africans prepare to wrap up the weekend.
Which areas could receive rain and thunderstorms?
Parts of the Free State, North West, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal could experience showers and thunderstorms on Sunday.
In KwaZulu-Natal, afternoon showers and thundershowers are possible in parts of the province, particularly the northern and western areas.
The Eastern Cape could also see a change in conditions, with rain possible in coastal areas and thunderstorms in parts of the interior.
Meanwhile, parts of the Free State and North West could experience isolated showers and thundershowers as cloud cover increases.
However, the rainfall will not affect all areas equally, and some places could remain dry throughout the day.
Hot weather to continue in other areas
While thunderstorms could develop across parts of the central and eastern interior, much of the western half of the country is expected to remain dry.
Hot to very hot conditions could continue in parts of the Northern Cape, while other regions will experience warm temperatures.
This means South Africans could face contrasting weather conditions on Sunday, depending on where they live.
People planning outdoor activities should check their local forecasts before heading out, particularly in areas where thunderstorms are possible.
