The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Samuel E. Erale, has assured the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of adequate security to ensure peaceful elections in the state.
Erale gave the assurance on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, when he led members of his management team on a courtesy visit to the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Delta State, Etekamba U. Umoreen.
The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the police and INEC ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The police commissioner assured the REC that Delta State would witness one of the most peaceful elections ever held in the state.
