Week 5 of the NFL season is set to conclude with a possible Super Bowl preview and a battle of the last two MVP winners.

The Los Angeles Rams entered the season as the Super Bowl favorites, but they got off to a sluggish start to the season at just 2-2. The Rams did have a comeback victory over the Philadelphia Eagles last week, which they hope can spark the team a bit.

Matthew Stafford, who won the NFL MVP award last year, has been a little bit off to begin this season while the Rams offense tries to find its groove. Some of that time has come without Puka Nacua, who is playing through an injury, while Los Angeles is also without Myles Garrett for another few weeks as well.

The Bills, meanwhile, came into this game after suffering their first loss last week to the New England Patriots. Previously, Buffalo had won three straight games and looked like the class of the AFC and one of the favorites to come out of the conference.

Josh Allen, who won the 2024 NFL MVP award, came out on fire in the first two weeks, but has since been more uneven and turnover-prone. Last week, Allen threw a game-ending interception, which highlighted just how much the team lives and dies by its superstar.

This game is a good litmus test for both of these teams, as they each represent Super Bowl contenders.
