Muscat : Parts of the Sultanate of Oman may witness thunderstorms accompanied by active downdrafts and hail on Monday, October 19, 2026.
Oman Meteorology said in a statement :"The forecast indicates continued chances of varying intensity rainfall accompanied by downdrafts and hail, leading to flash floods in the streams and valleys of the Hajar Mountains and surrounding areas, continuing into the night."
"Thunderstorms are classified as high intensity and will begin from 12 PM until 7 PM."
"The rains are likely to be accompanied by flash floods, reduced horizontal visibility, lightning strikes, and dust storms," the statement added.
