Meghan Markle’s inner circle reportedly believes her dad Thomas Markle’s child porn probe will help the public “finally understand” why she has distanced herself from him in recent years.
“Now maybe people will finally understand why she has had nothing to do with her father since 2018,” a source close to the Duchess of Sussex told the Sun, who was the first to report on Thomas, 82, being investigated over “hundreds, if not thousands” of child sex abuse images.
The outlet reported Thursday that Thomas’ son, Thomas Markle Jr., reported him to the police after allegedly discovering the materials inside several boxes at his dad’s Philippines home.
Authorities are preparing to seize the alleged evidence, according to the Sun.
Thomas Sr. and Thomas Jr. did not immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment, nor did reps for Meghan and Prince Harry.
