Cleveland Browns defensive end Jared Verse has revealed an unusual story about his teammate Carson Schwesinger, whose preparation for a preseason game apparently included solving an advanced mathematics problem.
Verse recently praised Schwesinger’s reliability and football instincts, but his latest revelation highlights another surprising side of the linebacker’s personality.
According to Andrew Siciliano, Verse said Schwesinger was “doing advanced calculus on his laptop” during the Browns’ flight to a preseason game.

The revelation offers a glimpse into how differently NFL players spend their time before taking the field.
WHile some athletes use team flights to review film, listen to music, relax, Schwesinger apparently had a more academic activity on his schedule.
As a linebacker, Schwesinger is responsible for reading offensive formations, reacting quickly to developing plays and making critical defensive decisions.
His apparent interest in advanced mathematics adds another dimension to his reputation as one of Cleveland’s dependable defensive players.
The story also follows Verse’s glowing assessment of Schwesinger after the Browns defeated Baltimore Ravens 13-10.
Schwesinger recorded 13 tackles and forced a crucial fumble in that victory, further strengthening his standing within Cleveland’s defense.
His performance was especially noteworthy after he dealt with an ankle injury ahead of the Ravens matchup.
For Verse, the calculus anecdote provides another reason to appreciate his teammate’s unusual conbination of interests and abilities.
Whether studying complicated equations or diagnosing an opposing defense, Schwesinger appears comfortable taking on demanding challenges.
The unexpected detail adds a lighter perspective to Cleveland’s locker room, showing how players can balance their professional football responsibilities with interests beyond the sport.
