The 2026 All-WNBA First Team selections were announced on Saturday ahead of Saturday’s Game 3 of the WNBA Finals between the Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream.
And a lot of people have, well, so many questions. So, so, so many.
For the First Team:
- Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson
- Minnesota Lynx’ Olivia Miles
- Indiana Fever’s Kelsey Mitchell
- New York Liberty’s Breanna Stewart
- Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark
For the Second Team:
- Dallas Wings’ Paige Bueckers
- Las Vegas Aces’ Jackie Young
- Atlanta Dream’s Angel Reese
- Atlanta Dream’s Rhyne Howard
- Washington Mystics’ Shakira Austin
The case for Stewart was that she was in the top 10 in scoring during the 2026 campaign with 20.8 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 33 minutes per game.
Angel Reese? While she averaged 16.4 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game, she was the rock who led Atlanta to the Finals. During the Dream’s Game 3 win over Golden State, Reese scored 21 points with 12 rebounds and 30 points with 16 assists during Game 2. It’s easy to see when she gets going on the offensive end of the court, the Valkyries don’t have an answer for her.

...
Fans know this, and they aren’t happy that she wasn’t on the First Team roster.
“Yea, no they got this wrong, no way Angel Reese second team,” one person said.
“First team: one of these is not like the others,” another noted.
“Honestly it’s just funny atp,” someone said. “Shows media bias and lack of knowledge so hard. Voters should be embarrassed.”
“I can’t take this seriously when Angel is 2nd Team and Breanna is 1st Team,” one person pointed out.
“Stewart over Reese? Huh?” another asked.
