After a 0-0 draw at Como, Roma, who had been down since the 53rd minute, are ready to make their Champions League debut at the Stadio Olimpico.
Wednesday’s fixture is a huge one: Mourinho’s Real Madrid are coming. The Giallorossi will resume training in the next few hours and will have a final session tomorrow.
Cristante and Svilar are still out, making them unlikely to be on the pitch. The former is expected to return after the break, while the Giallorossi midfielder is aiming for the match against Genoa.
The only player unavailable in Como who has a chance of being called up is Koulierakis. Gasperini is already immersed in the match against Real Madrid and faces the usual doubt in attack: who will partner Dybala behind Malen?
Lorenzo Pellegrini played his first minutes of the 2026-27 season in Como. Gian Piero Gasperini preferred him to Soulé and Mora. The Argentine, however, came on at the start of the second half, while the former Porto player once again remained on the bench.
Malen’s sending-off, however, influenced the substitutions, but the fact remains that the 2007-born player sat through the entire match without having the chance to make an impact on the pitch.
Against Real Madrid, the usual conundrum will arise regarding the attacking midfield. According to Il Messaggero, Soulé will prevail on Wednesday (9 p.m.). The Argentine striker is favored over Pellegrini.
