Jacob Elordi has been roasted for keeping his sunglasses on inside the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The actor, 29, attended the glittering event with his girlfriend Kendall Jenner, 30, and the couple walked the red carpet separately before reuniting inside.
However, some fans were more interested in his choice of eyewear than their glamorous date night.
'Sunglasses? Trying waaay too hard,' one said.
'Why is Jacob wearing those glasses all the time?' another asked.
A third took aim at the actor's appearance, writing: 'He comes off extremely arrogant. Wearing sunglasses to a party. You are not that special.'

Jacob teamed the dark shades with a black tuxedo, crisp white shirt and bow tie, while Kendall wore a strapless custom Valentino polka dot gown.
Her striking dress featured a fitted black bodice dotted with white spots and a contrasting ivory skirt covered in black dots.
The couple held hands and leaned towards each other for a photograph at their table, giving fans a rare glimpse of their romance at the star-studded dinner.
Jacob and Kendall were first romantically linked in February and have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight.
Neither has publicly addressed the romance, although their affectionate appearance inside the gala gave onlookers plenty to talk about.
Jacob found himself back in the spotlight earlier this month after confronting a group of photographers while walking through Paris with Kendall during Fashion Week.
Footage showed the Euphoria actor growing visibly frustrated as paparazzi followed the pair through the streets and repeatedly fired their flashes.
'Wait, wait, wait, can we just walk home?' he pleaded.

'Stop, stop, stop.'
The actor pointed out that photographers had already captured their pictures before asking them to give the couple some space.
'Can we just walk home back to our hotel? No flash, just let us walk. Just let us go,' he continued.
Kendall was seen shielding her face from the flashes while Jacob eventually put on sunglasses as they continued walking with security.
The latest incident has once again drawn attention to Jacob's long and sometimes fiery history with photographers, fans and the machinery of celebrity.
And it is far from the first time the Saltburn star has been caught on camera making his feelings about unwanted attention very clear.
Only months earlier, Jacob had another uncomfortable encounter with an enthusiastic fan while travelling in Japan with Jenner.
In footage uploaded to social media, fan Otavio Bittencourt approached Jacob from behind and placed a hand on the actor's back, apparently while trying to get his attention for a photograph.

Jacob immediately turned around.
'Please don't touch me, bro,' he told the fan before continuing on his way.
The brief exchange quickly went viral.
While some viewers accused Jacob of being unnecessarily curt, many others defended the actor and pointed out he was entitled to object to being touched by a stranger.
But perhaps one of the most telling encounters came months earlier when Jacob directly told a photographer how difficult the constant attention had made his life.
In December 2025, the actor was walking through Paris' Gare du Nord station when he was followed by a photographer.
The photographer called out: 'Jacob, we love you.'
Jacob stopped, removed one of his headphones and replied: 'You make it really hard for me to live.'
When the photographer again insisted he loved him, Jacob fired back: 'I don't love you.'
'You make it really hard for me to live,' he repeated.
The blunt exchange offered a rare glimpse into just how strongly the Australian star feels about being pursued by photographers.
Around the same period, Jacob admitted his sudden rise to fame had left him feeling as though he was living inside The Truman Show.
Reflecting on the explosion of attention that followed his 2018 film The Kissing Booth, he said: 'I woke up into a completely different world.'
He described the internet attention surrounding him as 'so frightening'.
