KSrelief Supports UN Efforts to Assist People in Need, Advance Humanitarian Action Worldwide
The partnerships between the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and United Nations organizations have resulted in the implementation of 455 projects worth more than $3.553 billion across various vital sectors, including health, nutrition, education, food and agricultural security, water, sanitation and environmental hygiene, and other key sectors.
These projects have been carried out in cooperation with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Food Programme (WFP), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and other organizations.
Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, continues to develop its preparedness, expand its humanitarian and relief partnerships, strengthen its international presence, and build strategic partnerships and strong relationships with United Nations organizations operating in the humanitarian field, which mark United Nations Day on October 24 each year.
These efforts align with Saudi Arabia’s longstanding and distinctive humanitarian approach and strengthen its role in serving people wherever they may be.
Saudi Arabia is among the major donors to United Nations humanitarian and development organizations, as reflected in its leading positions in international rankings. Through KSrelief, Saudi Arabia also plays an important role in responding to international humanitarian crises through fruitful cooperation with relevant UN organizations.
