Ilija Srdanovic, who heads the Student List – Students Win electoral list, said that the list will secure a “dominant majority” in the Serbian Parliament in the October 25 parliamentary elections and protect citizens’ votes from any potential electoral irregularities.

“We have mechanisms in place to protect the ballot results, and we are fully prepared to defend the vote. We have covered every single polling station with monitors who will effectively monitor the voting process on election day,” Srdanovic said during an appearance on TV Vojvodina.
Asked if he is a candidate for prime minister, Srdanovic said the list has “more than one candidate for every position” in the government. He explained that the movement possesses “the potential, strength, and power drawn from a wide circle of highly qualified professionals.”
He emphasized that the entire platform of the Student List is built upon the state’s highest legal act - the Constitution of Serbia - calling it “a legacy and the ultimate guarantee of our program.”
Turning to the tragic November 1, 2024 canopy collapse at the Novi Sad railway station in which 16 people were killed, Srdanovic warned that it would be “terrible if those responsible are not found, and outrageous if the culprits have been pardoned through an executive act by the former president, something we currently have no way of knowing.”
