Mike Little has secured a third term as the mayor of the District of North Vancouver in the 2026 civic election.
As of the time of writing at 11:53 p.m., with all voting places reporting, he has secured 10,431 votes — ahead of Stephan Nieweler’s 6,145 votes and Max Zahedi’s 1,934 votes.
Little was previously a District councillor from 2005 to 2014.
Little’s re-election commitments included improving transportation and reducing the tax burden on local businesses.
He pledged to continue advocating for a new Second Narrows bridge crossing and bus rapid transit to help buses avoid traffic congestion, while pressing major employers to offer transit incentives or shuttle services for workers travelling to the North Shore.
For businesses, Little supported shifting some of the municipal tax burden away from commercial properties, managing curbside vehicle parking to keep customer spaces turning over, and maintaining a program that connects business owners directly with senior District staff.
Elsewhere on the North Shore, Linda Buchanan has been re-elected as the mayor of the City of North Vancouver, while Kirk Lapointe is the new mayor of the District of West Vancouver, defeating incumbent Mark Sager.
