A residential complex within walking distance of four rail lines in Mullae-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, will go on presale in November.
Hyosung Heavy Industries (298040) said on the 23rd that it will launch Harrington Place Mullae, a project being built in the Mullae-dong 3-ga area of Seoul's Yeongdeungpo-gu, in November. The complex will rise from three basement levels to a maximum of 29 floors and will consist of 218 units, all with an exclusive floor area of 84 square meters, a widely preferred size. By unit type, the development comprises 110 units of 84A, 54 units of 84B and 54 units of 84C. Neighborhood retail facilities for residents will be built within the complex.
The complex offers walking access to four rail lines, including Mullae Station on Line 2, Yeongdeungpo Station served by Line 1 and KTX, Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station where Lines 2 and 5 connect, and Yeongdeungpo Market Station on Line 5. Access to major arterial roads such as Gyeongin-ro, the Seobu Expressway and Olympic-daero is also convenient, giving residents quick connections to key Seoul business districts including Yeouido Business District and the Guro and Gasan digital complexes.
Shopping and cultural amenities are also plentiful. The Times Square mall is within walking distance, and large retailers including Shinsegae Department Store and E-Mart are nearby. The traditional Yeongdeungpo produce market and the Mullae Art Village, a hub for arts and culture, are close by, while green spaces such as the Mullae-dong flower garden and Mullae Neighborhood Park, along with a small park linked to the complex, are planned. Major development projects are also underway around the site, including the Mullae-dong urban environment improvement project, the redevelopment of the Daesun Flour Mill site and the Yeongdeungpo redevelopment promotion district, which are expected to improve living conditions in the area and lift long-term values.
The developer also focused on the product itself. Most buildings face south, and floor plans for all but a few unit types use a four-bay flat-plate layout to improve natural light and ventilation. Dressing rooms, powder rooms and entryway pantries maximize storage and interior space. Community facilities will include a fitness center, a group exercise room and a screen golf range, along with amenities such as a kids station, a senior center, a children's playground and a daycare center.
"Harrington Place Mullae stands out for its scarcity value as a new apartment complex in a prime downtown location at a time when new supply in Seoul is shrinking," a sales official said. "It combines access to four subway stations, nearby shopping malls and proximity to workplaces, and because every unit is sized at 84 square meters, we expect strong interest from people buying a home to live in."
The model house will be located along Nambusunhwan-ro in Seoul's Seocho-gu.
