The MAIT Group is expanding its engineering and digital product development portfolio through a partnership with Sigmetrix. The collaboration adds Mechanical Variation Management capabilities to MAIT’s services for product quality, cost control and development planning.
Mechanical variation occurs in manufacturing and assembly processes. MAIT and Sigmetrix will help companies analyze and manage these variations using Sigmetrix technologies and methods developed over more than 25 years. These tools support Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) initiatives, tolerance analysis, quality and cost assessments, design iteration reduction and prototype planning.
MAIT is integrating these capabilities into its PTC and Siemens solution portfolios. By incorporating Sigmetrix technologies into existing development environments, customers can evaluate tolerances and mechanical variation earlier in the design process and verify their effects through simulation.
The partnership also supports coordination between engineering and manufacturing throughout the product lifecycle. This integration can help organizations align design decisions with manufacturing requirements and manage quality, cost and time-to-market targets.
Through its partnership with Sigmetrix, MAIT will provide consulting and software-based support for digital product development and manufacturing processes.
