Paul Mackenzie, the Kenyan leader of the now deregistered Good News International Church, which starved its members to death in Shakahola Forest, has been convicted of murder. More than 400 dead bodies were exhumed from Shakahola in 2023. Mackenzie, together with other 28 members of his church, is, however, convicted of the murder of 190 children and 1 adult.
Mackenzie’s fate is similar to that which awaited Joseph Kibwetere and other leaders of the Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments of God (MRTCG) in Uganda, had they been caught.
