Four-star point guard Lucai Anderson has committed to Michigan, a source told Rivals, becoming Mike Boynton’s first high school commitment since becoming head coach of the Wolverines.
The 6-foot-4 senior out of IMG Academy (FL) ultimately chose the Wolverines after making visits to USC, Georgia Tech, and UCF. He also received offers from Alabama, Butler, Texas Tech, Villanova, and more.

Anderson is ranked as the No. 90 overall recruit in the 2027 class and the No. 23 ranked point guard, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings, an average of all three major recruiting media companies (Rivals, ESPN, 247Sports).
He’s the younger brother of Hornets guard and former Texas Tech star Christian Anderson, who also happens to be a one-time Michigan commit.
Mike Boynton took over in Ann Arbor following Dusty May’s departure to the NBA, where he accepted the Dallas Mavericks’ head coaching job after leading Michigan to an NCAA championship.
