- The Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso is a gorgeous new concept car from the Italian automaker.
- The Cuorerosso has four doors, curvaceous sheetmetal, and a hybridized version of Alfa’s glorious twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V-6, though we’re still waiting on specs.
- While Alfa confirmed that the concept is not “an anticipation of a production model,” the brand described it as “destined to inspire future models.”
Alfa Romeo may not lead the sales charts, and the products it builds may not always be the most reliable, but the Italian marque will be damned if you don’t gaze upon its sheetmetal with a “****, that car looks incredible.” Your mileage may vary, but our introduction to the Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso, the newest concept car from the Italian marque, was met with a string of words that have long been deemed unsuitable for FCC airwaves.

According to the automaker, the new concept is a hair longer and wider than a Giulia Quadrifoglio. That size appears to be intentional, with Alfa describing the proportions as a blend between the character of a grand touring car and the character of a supercar. The result is an exceedingly shapely design, a 2+2 configuration complete with coach doors, and a reported curb weight of just 3858 pounds.
We say “just” in regard to a nearly two-ton vehicle because Alfa confirmed that the concept is powered by a hybridized version of the brand’s twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V-6. Unfortunately, the automaker didn’t reveal any other specs for the car, so power figures will have to wait until an actual production derivative is built. The brand did share a few details, though, including that the Cuorerosso features air suspension, as well as a steer-by-wire system.

The exterior is littered with Alfa Romeo’s design cues. The grille takes on the familiar Scudetto shape and features the equally familiar cross and Biscione graphics borrowed from the Alfa Romeo logo. The wheels are a new take on the classic “telephone” wheel design, while Alfa’s Quadrifoglio logo sits behind the front fenders.
