Storytelling festival continues until Sunday
The annual Veleficuento festival is under way in Velefique, with activities continuing until Sunday, October 25.
Visitors can join storytelling walks through the village, watch theatre and music performances and take part in traditional games and workshops.
The programme has been designed to spread activities throughout the village, turning its streets and public spaces into settings for stories and entertainment across the festival.
Friday storytelling walk brings spooky twist
Friday evening brings a slightly spookier twist with a storytelling walk starting at 9:00 PM in the Plaza de la Constitucion.
Visitors are advised to bring a torch and warm clothing for the evening route.
The night-time walk offers a different way to explore the village, combining the surroundings of Velefique with storytelling after dark.
Saturday brings full day of family activities
Saturday is the main day of the festival, with activities running throughout the village.
These include storytelling sessions, family workshops, traditional games, a magic show and an Alice in Wonderland themed escape room for youngsters aged nine to 16.
Live music will also take over the Plaza de la Constitucion from 6:00 PM, adding an evening performance to the day’s family programme.
Sunday performances bring festival to a close
The festival comes to an end on Sunday with three performances in the main square at 10:00 AM, 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM.
Some activities have limited places and require advance booking, so visitors interested in particular sessions are advised to check availability before travelling.
