Mosiria made the remarks following his dismissal from the position of Chief Officer for Public Participation, Citizen Engagement and Customer Service in an administrative reshuffle announced on Wednesday, October 21.
Speaking after the development, the outspoken former official urged Nairobi residents to support his community initiatives, including helping homeless people, vulnerable children and individuals struggling on the streets.

“I have the capacity. All I need is the people of Nairobi to walk with me as we continue rescuing the homeless, assisting those suffering in the streets, the children and all that need help,” Mosiria said.
He maintained that he would not abandon his activities, suggesting that his removal would not prevent him from pursuing his commitment to improving the lives of Nairobi residents.
“I am not going to stop. I know he (Sakaja) did whatever he has done to silence me. But I am not going to be silenced,” he said, alleging that his removal was intended to silence him.
Who will Geoffrey Mosiria work with ahead of 2027?
Mosiria also reiterated his interest in becoming Nairobi governor in the 2027 General Election, saying he is ready to collaborate with leaders who share his vision for the capital.
He named Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, former Interior Cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’i, former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko among leaders he was willing to work with.
“I am going to work with all leaders who believe in good leadership in this city,” he stated.
His declaration comes days after he publicly expressed interest in succeeding Governor Johnson Sakaja, setting up the possibility of a political contest between the two former colleagues.
What did Mosiria say about Sakaja?
Mosiria also criticised his former boss, accusing Sakaja of refusing to listen to advice from officials appointed to support his administration.
“The problem with my boss is that he doesn’t want to be advised. He gave us the job to be his advisers, yet when we try to advise him, we become his enemies,” he claimed.
Mosiria was replaced by Zipporah Njeri Mwangi, who will serve in an acting capacity while retaining her existing responsibilities in City Culture, Arts and Tourism. The county's reshuffle notice did not explain the specific reasons for Mosiria's removal.
Mosiria previously served in the health and environment dockets before moving to citizen engagement in November 2025.
