"AI-native" is the sticker every sales tool wants on the box this year, usually next to "enterprise-grade" and a stock photo of a rep laughing at a headset. My test for AI-native sales coaching platforms is blunt: delete the AI, and see whether there's still a product left.
If what's left is a call recorder with tidy transcripts, the AI is a feature. If what's left is an empty login screen, because the AI was doing the scoring, the feedback, the practice, and the follow-up, you've found an AI-native product (which is a compliment, even if it sounds like a threat).
The nine platforms below are ranked on that test, using each vendor's own product pages, security docs, and published customer results. You'll get what each one does best, what it costs as of October 2026, and where it's likely to frustrate you.
If you only have a minute, here's my short list:
Alpharun is the best AI-native sales coaching platform for high-volume phone sales teams, because it grades every call against a playbook modeled on your strongest reps, then turns each rep's misses into that week's coaching priorities.
Among the other AI-native and AI-heavy sales coaching platforms, Gong is the enterprise pick, Mindtickle is enablement with role-play, Hyperbound is AI-native role-play, and Chorus by ZoomInfo handles post-call B2B review.
Salesloft folds coaching into sales engagement, Second Nature is AI-native onboarding practice, Balto brings live prompts to contact-center floors, and Aircover is an AI-native live meeting copilot for B2B sellers.
What makes a sales coaching platform AI-native?
I hold every tool here to four tests. Passing all four is rare, and a tool that passes two can still be a smart buy for the right team.
AI scores real calls. If the AI never touches your recorded customer calls, it's grading a dress rehearsal. Practice has its place, but coaching starts with what reps say to people who can say no.
Feedback is specific to each rep. A team dashboard that says "talk less" helps nobody (every rep assumes it means the person at the next desk). An AI-native tool names the one behavior a specific rep should change next.
Practice is generated from real gaps. A generic role-play library is a flight simulator for the wrong plane, so look for tools that build scenarios from the objections and misses in your own calls.
Improvement is measured on later calls. A coaching session that ends with "great chat, thanks" proves very little. The strongest platforms check whether the targeted behavior shows up on the next batch of calls, and they show you the trend.
1. Alpharun: best AI-native sales coaching platform for high-volume phone sales teams
Best for: Inside sales, enrollment, lending, solar, and other teams that take a large volume of customer calls and want every manager coaching from one standard. The homepage promise is "Make great performance repeatable," and the whole product runs on that loop.
What stands out: It works out which behaviors show up on your winning calls and turns them into a shared playbook: the questions to ask, information to explain, steps to follow, and outcomes to measure. Then it scores 100% of calls against that playbook (test one, passed).
How it coaches: Each call is scored shortly after it ends, and the patterns feed performance profiles, weekly priorities, goals, manager notes, progress tracking, and top call examples for every rep.
Managers can ask plain-language questions through its Ask feature and get answers backed by real conversations, while Automations send scheduled "reports and alerts with quotes and call links."
Practice comes from the same scores, through AI role plays built from real call gaps, with voice simulations and retries.
Its AI voice agents, which cover lead qualification, intake, and after-hours calls, are graded "against defined standards so AI and human performance can be evaluated consistently."
A customer story from Chapter, a Medicare advisory firm, credits the platform with grading 100% of calls on 60+ custom criteria and giving each manager back 25 hours a week of manual review. Senior Sales Manager Thomas Pruitt put it simply: "I'm able to coach 4x as many people as I used to."
Pricing: Not published as of October 2026, so you'll get numbers through a demo. On security, the company says it "meets rigorous SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and AI safety standards," with AIUC-1 listed for AI safety.
Limitations: It gives no live prompts while a customer is on the line, so teams that want whisper-style guidance pair it with a live-assist tool. Setup is a guided two-week playbook build on average, and the site names no dialer or CRM connectors, so confirm yours in the demo.
Choose it if: You run a phone floor where coaching every rep every week is the goal, and sampling a handful of calls per rep hasn't moved conversion.
2. Gong: best for enterprise B2B teams coaching on recorded deals
Gong is the best pick for large B2B revenue teams that want coaching wired into the same platform that tracks their deals.
Best for: Enterprise sales orgs that live in video meetings and already treat Gong as the record of what happened on every call. It calls itself the "#1 AI OS for Revenue Teams," and its homepage says it's "Trusted by 5,000+ customers."
What stands out: Gong Enable combines an AI Call Reviewer and coaching inbox with an AI Trainer that can "Turn past conversations into realistic training scenarios." Initiative Tracking ties coached behaviors to "win rates, deal size, and ramp time" (your CRO's favorite question).
How it coaches: Post-call scoring plus practice. Calls are scored automatically, reps "receive instant automated feedback" after AI role-plays, and they can rehearse an upcoming meeting against an AI copy of the real buyer persona before it happens.
Uber for Business credits Gong with saving "6,700 hours across call prep, follow-up, and CRM updates." Gong Enable also connects to "over 300 integrations through the Gong Collective," including Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
Pricing: Quote-based as of October 2026. Licenses are "priced per user," a platform fee sits on top, and Gong Enable "doesn't offer a free trial."
Limitations: Everything is tuned for recorded B2B meetings and the deals behind them, and the product pages name no live guidance for reps mid-call. Security runs deep (SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 42001, and ISO/IEC 27001), so the open question is fit for a phone-heavy floor.
Choose it if: Your reps run multi-meeting deals over Zoom or Teams, and you want coaching data and revenue data in one place.
3. Mindtickle: best for enablement teams running certifications at scale
Best for: Enablement leaders who own onboarding, certifications, and content, and want AI coaching inside that same program. Mindtickle grew out of enablement and now describes its ElevateOS as "the first agentic operating system for revenue enablement."
What stands out: Behavior Intelligence "analyzes calls, assessments, and past role plays to surface each rep's skill gaps, then builds role plays to close them." That's a strong AI-native move, because the practice comes straight from the gap.
The AI role-play can "grade thousands of submissions in minutes" and runs in 25+ languages, with screen share for demo practice, pitch competitions, and certifications.
How it coaches: Practice plus post-call scoring, with AI Copilot grading recorded calls on behaviors "like talk time, pace, and questions asked." Mindtickle says "Cisco increased deal sizes by 31% with AI Sales Role Plays," and Janssen India reports "a 50% reduction in rep ramp time."
Pricing: Not published as of October 2026 (the pricing URL returns a 404, which is one way to avoid sticker shock). Expect a demo and a custom quote.
Limitations: It's a broad enablement suite, which is heavier to roll out than a focused coaching tool, and no live guidance appears on its pages. Its security list is long: ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2, SOC 3, CSA STAR, GDPR, and ISO 42001, with customer data "never used to train AI."
Choose it if: You want training, certifications, and coaching in one place, you have an enablement team to run it, and your stack includes Salesforce or MS Dynamics plus Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet.
4. Hyperbound: best for SDR teams that ramp through AI role-play
Hyperbound is the best choice for outbound teams that want reps sparring with realistic AI buyers before they touch a real prospect.
Best for: SDR and AE teams where ramp time is the number everyone stares at. Hyperbound calls itself "Enterprise-grade AI sales coaching" and is "named in Gartner's Market Overview for B2B Sales AI Roleplay Applications."
What stands out: Hyperbound Practice offers custom AI buyers and scorecards, and each score has a "Why were you scored this way?" walkthrough citing the exact transcript line.
The Perform product layers on Real Call Scoring, Deal Coaching, and "Bite-sized Roleplays" built "based on real deal signals."
How it coaches: Practice first, with post-call scoring through Perform. Vanta cut SDR ramp "from ~210 days to 75," and Klaviyo says "New-hire productivity per rep (PPR) climbed 42% YoY." A live side panel for reps exists, but only in private preview so far.
Pricing: As of October 2026, a Free tier includes "45 Prebuilt AI Roleplays," and the two enterprise products are sold per user under separate licenses, with no dollar figures on the page.
Limitations: Grading real calls means buying the Perform license too, and Hyperbound's own FAQ admits "measurable improvement only comes from running the two together" (refreshingly candid for a pricing page).
It's SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, with support for GDPR and HIPAA requirements.
Choose it if: Your reps need more reps (sorry), you coach in several languages (it supports 25+), and you run Salesforce, HubSpot, or Dynamics alongside a recorder like Gong, Zoom, or Orum.
5. Chorus by ZoomInfo: best for ZoomInfo customers who coach from call libraries
Best for: B2B teams already paying for ZoomInfo who want conversation intelligence under the same contract. Chorus is still sold under its own name, and chorus.ai now redirects to ZoomInfo's product page.
What stands out: Coaching Initiatives match programs to your sales methodology, and Peer Review recommends "high-scoring calls to review so reps learn from their peers." Smart Playlists "automatically add new calls that meet your criteria to your library" (goodbye, hand-built playlists).
How it coaches: Post-call, with insights arriving "within minutes after your call ends." Managers "Rate rep performance and leave personalized feedback with scorecards," and benchmarks keep an eye on talk-to-listen ratio, filler words, and next steps.
MongoDB's SVP of Worldwide Corporate Sales gave it the most relatable review on the page: "I no longer listen to my radio in the morning. I listen to calls in Chorus.ai."
Pricing: Not published as of October 2026. Chorus shows up on ZoomInfo's pricing page without a dollar figure, so you're looking at a demo and a quote.
Limitations: There's no live guidance and no AI role-play, and the product pages show little new AI coaching copy (some testimonials still say "Chorus.ai"). ZoomInfo's trust center lists SOC, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, and ISO 27701 badges, though those cover the whole company.
Choose it if: You're a ZoomInfo shop, your coaching runs on managers reviewing recorded B2B calls, and a mobile app for coaching between meetings sounds handy.
6. Salesloft: best for sales engagement teams that want coaching inside the cadence
Best for: Teams that run outbound and pipeline inside Salesloft, which merged with Clari in December 2025 and unified the brand in September 2026. Clari's conversation intelligence now continues as part of Salesloft.
What stands out: Conversation Intelligence "automatically records, transcribes, and analyzes every sales call," grades calls, and writes up summaries, follow-up emails, and CRM updates. "Coachable moments become tasks in rep workflows," so coaching lands where reps already work.
How it coaches: Live and post-call. Battlecards and AI guidance appear while reps handle objections on the call, and post-call scoring feeds a coaching view that ties activity to "meetings booked, opportunities created, and pipeline generated."
MOTOR Information Systems says "we doubled new logo acquisition YOY," and an IBM sales leader likes that "It lets me drill down rep by rep."
Pricing: Quote-based as of October 2026 (the pricing page redirects to a "Book time with us" form).
Limitations: Coaching is one room in a very large house of engagement and forecasting tools, AI role-play isn't offered, and the merged company is still knitting itself together. Security covers SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and GDPR and CCPA support.
Choose it if: You already live in Salesloft, want coaching signals sitting next to cadences and pipeline, and can live without AI role-play.
7. Second Nature: best for onboarding classes that need a patient practice partner
Best for: Onboarding-heavy teams that need new hires pitching over and over before they get a live lead. Second Nature bills itself as a "virtual pitch partner" that scores reps "and helps them improve on their own."
What stands out: You "Describe your scenario in freeform text or upload any content, and the AI builds a full roleplay in minutes." Buyers show up as video avatars, chat partners, or a whole multi-persona B2B committee, in over 30 languages and right in a mobile browser.
How it coaches: Practice, with an AI that "instantly evaluates performance after every session." GoHealth reports an "Average 21% increase in sales conversions after 34 minutes of practice," and its onboarding shrank from nine weeks to four.
One customer's gamified certification hit "a 100% completion rate," which is a number most training teams only see in their dreams.
Pricing: Not published as of October 2026, and the old pricing link is a dead end, so you'll fill out a demo form.
Limitations: Everything happens in simulation, and nothing on the site grades the calls reps make with real customers. Security is a bright spot, with SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA listed.
Choose it if: Ramp is your bottleneck, you want practice that runs on a phone with "no app download required," and you connect training through Salesforce, HubSpot, or an LMS via SCORM or LTI.
8. Balto: best for contact-center sales floors that want live prompts
Balto is the best fit for phone-based sales teams that want reps guided while the customer is still on the line.
Best for: High-volume contact-center sales and service teams. Balto "integrates directly with your existing phone systems" and says it's "Trusted by 300+ leading customers where sales, CX, & compliance matter."
What stands out: Smart Checklists and live rebuttal prompts guide agents mid-conversation, and supervisors get alerts "live while agents are on their call." Live Listen lets a manager "drop into the audio with one click" and message the agent (a sideline coach, minus the yelling).
How it coaches: Live first, plus post-call. It can "Auto-score 100% of interactions" and builds "ready-made coaching sessions, tailored by agent." In a 14-week test at National General Insurance, the group using Smart Checklists "was closing 16% more sales than their associates."
Pricing: Not published as of October 2026, so plan on a demo.
Limitations: It's built around phone systems, which makes it a weaker fit for B2B video meetings, and Balto says "Most teams are fully live within about 45 days." It's SOC 2 Type II certified, HIPAA compliant, and PCI DSS certified.
Choose it if: You run on NICE, Genesys, RingCentral, 8x8, Convoso, or Five9, and your biggest coaching gap happens while reps are talking to customers.
9. Aircover: best for B2B AEs who want an AI sales engineer in the meeting
Best for: B2B account executives running video meetings with technical buyers. Aircover pitches "AI Agents for your Reps, on Every Sales Call" and calls itself "One AI-native platform for the entire GTM org."
What stands out: Its live agent guides reps "turn by turn" with "battlecards, talk tracks, and competitive positioning," plus prompts for MEDDPICC, SPICED, COVER, or your own framework. A Virtual Sales Engineer gives "Instant answers to technical questions" (your real SE says thanks).
How it coaches: Live, backed by post-call notes, CRM sync, and automated call scoring that tracks methodology adoption. JFrog reports ramp "Cut from 6 Months to 30 Days," and Cloudflare reports "a 3.5x increase in revenue for Zero Trust" with "80% of the team" on Aircover.
Pricing: Quote-based as of October 2026, with per-user, "Custom pricing based on team size," integrations and onboarding included, and a proposal promised "within 24 hours."
Limitations: There's no AI role-play or practice environment. It's SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliant, and because it runs with "No recording required," it fits regions with strict recording rules.
Choose it if: Your reps sell on Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or Webex, your CRM is Salesforce or HubSpot, and you want help inside the meeting more than a scorecard after it.
How to pick the right platform for your team
Start with where coaching breaks today. If managers can't get through enough calls, you need scoring on every call, and if new hires freeze on objections, you need practice. If the damage happens mid-conversation, you need live prompts.
Then check your channel. Phone-heavy floors and B2B video teams buy differently, and a tool that's brilliant on Zoom can feel awkward plugged into a contact-center dialer (and the reverse is just as true).
I'd also ask every vendor two plain questions: what share of our calls will you score, and how fast does a scored call reach a manager? Tools that answer with "it depends" deserve a follow-up demo.
Finally, get the pricing model in writing. Per-user licenses, platform fees, separate practice and scoring licenses, and coaching add-ons all show up in this category, and they change the total more than the headline price.
Where AI-native coaching goes next
My prediction for the next couple of years: the coaching scorecard stops caring whether the caller is a person. AI voice agents already qualify leads and book appointments, and the platforms that grade them against the same playbook as human reps will have one view of performance across both.
That changes the manager's job in a fun way. When an AI agent and your newest rep miss the same disclosure, you'll fix the playbook once and watch both improve, which is a lot more satisfying than coaching the same note forty times.
The teams that pull ahead will be the ones with the tightest loop between what good sounds like, what every caller did, and what changed on the next call, whoever (or whatever) made it.
FAQ
Which AI-native sales coaching platform is best for high-volume phone sales?
The best fit scores every call against your own playbook, gives each rep one or two weekly priorities, and connects to your phone system without a long rollout. Ask each vendor what share of your calls it scores and how quickly a scored call reaches the manager who has to act on it.
How much do AI sales coaching platforms cost?
Most AI sales coaching platforms are quote-based and priced per user, and very few publish numbers. As of October 2026, Hyperbound offers a free tier, Gong adds a platform fee to per-user licenses, and Aircover prices by team size.
Can AI coaching platforms score every sales call?
Yes, several platforms in this category score every call or interaction automatically. Balto advertises auto-scoring "100% of interactions," so the better question is whether those scores follow your own playbook or a generic template.
