The Los Angeles Rams aren’t getting the full Myles Garrett experience, as the superstar pass rusher remains sidelined with a knee issue.
The seven-time Pro Bowler Garrett has not seen action since Los Angeles’ 27-7 loss in Australia to the San Francisco 49ers.
He has missed the next four games, and that count is about to hit five, with the former Texas A&M Aggies star defensive end already ruled out for this coming Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
Rams’ Garrett Catches The Attention of the NFL
According to Jonathan Jones of The Athletic, the league reached out to the Rams over Garrett’s choice of attire while on the sidelines of a game he was not playing in.
Instead of wearing team-issued gear, Garrett went with a Jumpman tracksuit. That makes sense since he’s signed to the Jordan Brand, but it still apparently goes against the NFL’s rules.
“The NFL did not fine the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, but I am told the Rams heard from the league office about it, and I would expect Garrett to blend in on the sideline Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals,” Jones wrote.
Perhaps that’s a lesson learned for the former No. 1 overall pick.
As for the Rams, they sure could use some help from Garrett sooner rather than later. Entering Week 6, Los Angeles is allowing 24.0 points per game and posting a 5.19 percent defensive sack rate, 20th and 23rd in the league, respectively. However, they are second in the league with just 156.8 passing yards surrendered per contest.
