Jordyn Palmer, one of the top 2027 girls high school basketball recruits, is headed to South Carolina.
The 6-foot-1 standout chose the Gamecocks over a trio of Big Ten programs—Ohio State, UCLA, and Penn State—and adds to a powerful SC basketball roster that also includes Zaniya Johnson, Taylor Brown, and Jezelle "GG" Banks.
With the 2026-27 season still ahead, the Westtown School (Oxford, PA) small forward makes a headline-grabbing decision that solidifies coach Dawn Staley's 2027 class and the future of South Carolina hoops.
However, the two-time Pennsylvania Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year winner didn't make the decision lightly.
"My recruiting process was definitely hard," Palmer said to ESPN. "But South Carolina felt like home. The atmosphere of the campus was amazing, and the coaching staff was awesome and welcoming. I felt that it was the best option for me to be coached by the greatest."
