State of Kuwait
On the occasion of the re-election of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations Human Rights Council for the term 2027–2029, we extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and preserve him; to His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect and preserve him; and to the wise government and the noble people of Kuwait.
This significant diplomatic achievement reflects the distinguished standing that the State of Kuwait enjoys within the international community and demonstrates international recognition of its humanitarian role and its foreign policy founded on moderation, balance, dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and respect for human dignity.
As the Catholic Church present and serving on the blessed soil of Kuwait, we deeply appreciate the spirit of tolerance, mutual respect, and freedom of worship that we enjoy in this country, which strengthens fraternal coexistence among citizens and residents of different religions and cultures.
As we share in Kuwait’s joy over this national and international achievement, we reaffirm that the protection of human rights, the safeguarding of every person’s dignity, and the promotion of justice, peace, and human fraternity constitute a shared responsibility that unites us all.
We look forward with confidence and hope to the State of Kuwait continuing, through its renewed membership in the Human Rights Council, its constructive role in promoting dialogue and international cooperation and in defending human dignity and fundamental human rights without discrimination of any kind.
We raise our prayers to Almighty God to protect the State of Kuwait, its wise leadership, and its generous people, and to continue blessing this land with security, stability, peace, and prosperity, so that Kuwait may always remain a homeland of love, tolerance, and mutual respect, and a land of fraternal encounter among peoples and religions.
