The recent incident of shooting at Tiger Shroff’s car has brought back
the terror days of the nineties.
A time when the entire Bollywood was run by the underworld. With the series of threats and attacks by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the question is now
being raised, is Bollywood going back to that old era of terror?
The old stories of underworld terror involving Shah Rukh Khan and Gulshan Kumar, which have recently emerged from the archives of renowned journalists and writers, have now created a new buzz.
In the 1990s, personalities like T-Series boss Gulshan Kumar, producers Mukesh Duggal, Javed Riaz Siddiqui, and Ajit Dewani lost their lives at the hands of the underworld.
On the other hand, filmmakers Rakesh Roshan, Rajiv Rai and Lawrence D’Souza, who were also attacked, were fortunately spared.
During that turbulent time, Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan himself was also targeted by gangster Abu Salem.
Police officer Rakesh Maria’s sources said that Abu Salem was pressuring Shahrukh to work in the film of the gang’s choice. But Shah Rukh very bravely clarified, “I won’t tell you who to shoot, so don’t tell me which film to do.”
Shah Rukh had to spend four consecutive years under the strict surveillance of the underworld. During that time, he had to live under severe mental stress.
