Nkozi University students marked graduation week with an evening of music, games and celebration as Captain Morgan brought its Party Captains experience to the Bbosa Hostel courtyard for a memorable send-off.
With fresh haircuts and manicures setting the tone for graduation week, students gathered for a night designed to celebrate their university journey, friendships and the exciting chapter ahead.
“Captain Morgan is built on the spirit of fun, friendship, and shared moments,” said Raymond Karama of Captain Morgan. “Grad week is a major milestone, and we wanted to give Nkozi students a send-off to playfully celebrate their journey, their bonds, and their next chapter.”
TrellyOnSet opened the festivities, with Jokweez keeping the crowd energised and drawing students from their hostel rooms into the courtyard. DJ Dranix kept the Afrobeats flowing, while Ursh Trey took to the microphone to build the excitement.
The Party Captains then turned the gathering into an interactive playground, with students competing in Kwepena, ring toss, balloon popping, ludo and card games. The activities brought students together in teams, creating moments of friendly rivalry, laughter and shared celebration.
One of the night's biggest highlights was a lively tug-of-war competition that brought out the competitive spirit among the revellers. Team Kohen Jaycee emerged victorious, walking away with Captain Morgan merchandise and a bottle of Captain Morgan.
Captain Kohen also took to the stage, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the crowd and briefly transforming the courtyard tent into a karaoke session.
DJ Slidethru kept the energy high with a selection of party anthems, prompting students to sing and dance along. Wiz J and St Trevor followed with a musical mash-up that had the crowd swaying together to “Forever Young”, capturing the celebratory mood of the evening.
Nkozi's own DJ Kibs and MC Kharts brought the event to a close, delivering a lively finale that reflected the university's spirit of togetherness, music and celebration.
Beyond the performances and games, the event offered graduating students an opportunity to celebrate the friendships and experiences that shaped their university years before embarking on new journeys.
For many, the night was more than a graduation party; it was a chance to toast shared memories, celebrate new beginnings and look ahead to the next chapter.
