By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Water based tours at the Nohoch Che’en Archaeological Reserve remain suspended because of elevated river conditions.
In a notice issued at 6:00am on Friday, October 23, the Institute of Archaeology of the National Institute of Culture and History (IA/NICH) said all water related tour activity at the popular cave tubing site is on hold.
All other archaeological reserves, including Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) and Barton Creek, are open for visits.
Tour operators and guides are advised to exercise caution, especially during water based activities.
The IA/NICH says it continues to monitor conditions and will provide updates as necessary.
