The best greyhound betting sites for 2026
The Standard’s betting experts have identified the following five sites based on their greyhound-specific promotions and features, money-back specials, pool betting, track coverage, and whether the welcome offer structure suits greyhound bettors.
1. BetGoodwin
BetGoodwin stands out for greyhound bettors thanks to the fact it runs more money-back specials than any other UK bookmaker.
That includes greyhound racing as well as horse racing. As such, it is the best site to use when you want a safety net on a beaten favourite.
A smaller brand on the UK market, BetGoodwin is a racing niche specialist with great credentials and a site built around bettors who focus on the dogs and the horses.
Pros
- More money-back specials than any other UK bookmaker - an ongoing edge for greyhound bettors
- Racing niche focus means promotions are built for how greyhound bettors actually stake
- Straightforward sign-up offer valid on greyhound betting
- Also one of the best horse racing betting sites
Cons
- Welcome offer (£15 in free bets) is the lowest headline value of our recommended greyhound sites
- Smaller operator with less brand recognition than Betfred or William Hill
2. Betfred
Betfred offer the highest-value welcome offer from the bookmakers listed here, giving punters £50 in free bets after an initial £10 bet.
Betfred also offer money back on losing bets, as well as long-standing racing promotions that span greyhound and horse racing.
One of the most prominent UK bookmakers, Betfred offer a greyhound-specific 10% Tricast bonus on winning bets.
Pros
- Betfred welcome offer is the highest we found at £50 in free bets for a £10 qualifying bet
- Long-standing racing promotions that run across both greyhound and horse racing calendars
Cons
- Free bets credited in stages rather than as a lump sum - less immediate flexibility
- Only £30 of the £50 welcome offer can be used on greyhounds
3. Tote
Tote has a unique selling point - it is the UK's only pool betting operator, and that model extends to greyhound racing as well as the horses.
Bettors' stakes go into a shared pool and dividends are calculated after the race, meaning better potential returns on outsiders than fixed-odds books.
Pool betting works slightly differently on the dogs - the dividend is variable rather than fixed. This means that the best returns tend to come when a well-backed favourite gets beaten in a competitive field.
Pros
- UK's only pool betting operator - a unique product not available at any other bookmaker
- Variable dividends can return better odds than fixed-price bookmakers, particularly on outsiders
- Low £5 qualifying stake for the welcome offer
Cons
- Pool dividends are variable - you do not know your exact return until after the race
4. Betway
Betway is a good pick for greyhound bettors thanks to the Betway app’s live betting and streaming depth.
The split free bet structure of the Betway welcome offer also lends itself well to greyhound betting, with separate bet builder and acca tokens giving more flexibility than a single lump sum.
The Betway Free Bets Club loyalty scheme includes bets placed on the dogs, rewarding frequent activity.
Pros
- Free bets split across bet builder and acca tokens
- Free Bets Club rewards regular staking with ongoing bonus tokens beyond the welcome offer
Cons
- Betway welcome offer value sits mid-table next to Betfred's £50 headline figure
- Greyhound-specific promotions are less prominent than the racing niche specialists in this list
5. William Hill
William Hill is a name widely associated with UK racing, with a strong heritage when it comes to the dogs.
The William Hill Acca Boost promotion scales up to 100% on 15+ leg accas, applying to greyhound racing, while the bookmaker’s high-street and online presence has forged its reputation for reliability.
Pros
- Huge brand trust and decades of UK racing heritage, including a long-standing association with greyhound racing
- Acca Boost rewards bigger multiples, scaling up to 100% on 15+ leg accas
Cons
- Welcome offer (£30 in free bets) sits mid-table next to Betfred's £50 headline figure
- Less of a racing niche focus than Tote or BetGoodwin
How to choose a greyhound betting site
Selecting the right greyhound betting site comes down to identifying which features best suit your preferences.
While headline welcome offers are appealing, regular greyhound bettors often benefit more from bookmakers with ongoing value and comprehensive coverage across UK and international tracks.
When evaluating sportsbooks, consider key factors such as price structure and money-back promotions.
Pool betting can provide enhanced dividends on outsiders compared to fixed-odds books, while money-back specials on beaten favourites give a safety net for single-race stakes.
You should also check the breadth of track coverage and whether live streaming is offered seamlessly alongside betting markets, allowing you to watch the action unfold.
Finally, look closely at payout efficiency, withdrawal speeds, and flexible deposit options to ensure a smooth day-to-day experience.
How to claim a greyhound betting free bet

Responsible gambling
Bettors are reminded to always gamble responsibly by using the safer gambling tools available on betting sites.
We also recommend setting a budget, taking regular breaks, and not chasing losses when gambling.
Betting should only be viewed as a source of entertainment, never as a reliable income.
