Liverpool locked horns with Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a decent start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 44th minute when Keane Lewis-Potter scored with a good header. However, Yehor Yarmolyuk was sent off by the referee in the dying embers of the first half as Andoni Iraola’s men went into the half-time interval 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Victor Munoz equalised for the visitors in the 62nd minute before Alexander Isak scored the winner for the Reds in the 70th minute. Vitaly Janelt was given his marching orders as well in injury time as the contest finished with Liverpool securing a hard-fought 2-1 win away from home.

He made one good save at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet.
RB: Ronald Araujo – 6.5/10
Araujo put in a solid performance in the first half and was replaced at half-time.
He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 7.5/10
Van Dijk put his foot through the ball when he could and did well to limit the opposition to just one goal.

LB: Milos Kerkez – 6.5/10
He came back to defend when required but struggled to influence the game in the final third.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 7.5/10
Mac Allister anchored the midfield with conviction and ran the show well in the opponent’s half.
CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 6.5/10
He made a decent start to the game but picked up an injury and had to be replaced in the 31st minute.
RW: Victor Munoz – 8/10
Munoz made a lot of dangerous runs with the ball and scored the all-important equaliser with a good finish in the 62nd minute.
CAM: Florian Wirtz – 7.5/10
He created a lot of good chances for others around him and ended the game with an assist to his name.
LW: Bradley Barcola – 7.5/10
Barcola used his pace well at times but failed to take any of his chances.
ST: Alexander Isak – 7.5/10
Isak was quiet for most of his time on the field and managed to score the winner with a great finish in the 70th minute.
CM: Trey Nyoni – 6.5/10
He added some energy to Liverpool’s midfield.
RW: Jeremie Frimpong – 6/10
He went off injured after playing just six minutes.
RW: Rio Ngumoha – 7/10
Ngumoha made a few driving runs with the ball.
