Bayern Munich said “enough is enough” and smashed RB Leipzig 6-1 in Munich. Luis Díaz led the proceedings with his second Bundesliga hat-trick, supported by Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Aleksandar Pavlović. Speaking after the game, Tom Bischof said the Bavarians were determined to play at their best today and it paid off.
“We were determined to play a good home game today – things worked very well and we had a lot of fun on the pitch,” Bischof said (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “We could even have scored more goals – but after two draws in a row, it was very important to get this win.”
Bayern heads into the game against Arsenal in the Champions League next week with a spring in their step, despite the absence of Michael Olise due to suspension. Today’s match is Bayern’s first win in all competitions in nearly a month, their last win coming in the 7-0 routing of Union Berlin.
