All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo has expressed confidence that its candidates will record resounding victories in the 2027 general elections, citing progress in reconciliation efforts among aggrieved party stakeholders.
The party attributed the development partly to the decision of former Senate Leader and 2023 governorship candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin, to support its governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, and other candidates ahead of the elections.
In a statement issued on Tuesday in Ibadan, the party’s Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, credited President Bola Tinubu’s intervention with helping to resolve disagreements within the party.

Sadare said the party’s reconciliation efforts aimed to strengthen unity among stakeholders and improve its chances at the polls.
“Our eyes have been on the ball as our main goal is about winning, at least, a million votes for President Tinubu in the January poll and also making sure that all the candidates of APC are returned elected in the 2027 general elections,” he said.
He added that the party’s prospects had improved following what he described as significant progress towards achieving unity and peace among its members in the state.
According to him, the APC established committees comprising notable stakeholders and credible individuals to address disagreements that emerged after its primaries.
He, however, said the intervention of Tinubu, whom he described as the party’s national leader, had played a significant role in persuading aggrieved members to reconcile and work towards the party’s success.
“With the like of Sen. Teslim Folarin, Sen. Abdulfatai Buhari and Chief Adebayo Adelabu fully on board, we are good to go as our total victory is assured this time,” Sadare said.
Despite expressing confidence in the party’s chances, the publicity secretary said reconciliation efforts would continue to bring more stakeholders on board.
He added that APC candidates would continue engaging voters and promoting Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda alongside the Oyo AHEAD Project of Alli.
The party said its focus remained on consolidating internal unity and mobilising support for its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
