Saif Ali Khan jokes about pending KBC cheque and ghee supply on The Great Indian Kapil show

Actor Saif Ali Khan is yet to receive his cheque and two-year supply of ghee from the Amitabh Bachchan-hosted game show Kaun Banega Crorepati, he said in the latest episode of Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show.

Khan appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, to promote his film Haiwaan. In the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, the actor jokingly complained, “I just want to clear one thing. I haven’t even received the ghee yet. Even my cheque has not come.”

His remark left Kareena Kapoor Khan, who also appeared on the episode, and Archana Puran Singh in stitches.

“Somebody get him his ghee,” a fan wrote while sharing a clip of the interaction on Instagram. “He’s so unintentionally funny,” commented another. “Saif needs to have his own show,” another fan wrote.

In late September, Saif appeared as a contestant on Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati alongside Akshay Kumar. The actors were on the show to promote their film Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan. Clips of Saif getting excited about winning ghee went viral, with many fans calling him “Gen Z born in the wrong era”.

When Saif made his Instagram debut earlier this month, fans flooded his comments section with ghee memes. On The Great Indian Kapil Show, the actor also joked about their ghee consumption when the host asked the couple about the secret behind their refreshed appearance.

“Nowadays, we get a lot of ghee’s supply,” Saif said. When Kareena remarked, “We consume ghee a lot in our house,” he quipped, “She just doesn’t eat ghee but also rubs it on her feet every night.” He added, “Imagine, this is such a romantic thing that our bedroom smells like dhaba every night.”

The fifth season of The Great Indian Kapil Show premiered on Netflix on September 26, with new episodes releasing every Saturday at 8 pm.
