Bybit is the retail perpetual terminal: bracket orders, TradingView charts, roughly 860 contracts, and 100x on BTC and ETH. Traders look past it for a higher leverage ceiling, a cheaper path into tier-1 fees, or a stop that prices fees and funding. The first fee cut on Bybit needs 100,000 USDT in assets or 10 million USDT in monthly volume, and the guides for that schedule sit on Bybit Learn.
This guide ranks the alternatives on those three points. Bybit stays the benchmark. It is not in the table.
Bybit Alternatives Compared

1. BloFin: More Leverage Than Bybit, and a Stop That Prices the Fees
BloFin is the step up for a Bybit trader who wants a higher ceiling and a stop that does the fee math. Leverage runs to 150x on BTCUSDT and ETHUSDT, against Bybit’s 100x on those pairs, and to 125x on SOLUSDT and BTCUSDC. The board is 508 perpetuals. VIP 1 opens at 50,000 USDT in equity, at 0.0060% maker and 0.0500% taker. Bybit’s first cut needs 100,000 USDT in assets, or 10 million USDT in monthly volume.
Bybit lets you attach a take-profit and a stop to the order. You still pick both prices. Auto Breakeven sets the stop after the trade is in profit: entry, plus the fee, plus the funding. Add to a Bybit position and the new order usually blends into the old one. Multi-Position keeps that second buy as its own trade, with its own leverage and its own stop. There is a 5,000 USDT practice account for trying this.
- Key Strengths: 150x on BTC and ETH against Bybit’s 100x, VIP 1 at 50,000 USDT equity, Auto Breakeven with fees and funding in the stop, and Multi-Position on one contract.
- Limitations: 508 perpetuals is a smaller board than Bybit’s 860, and long-tail depth is lighter than Binance.
2. OKX: Bybit’s Leverage Cap, With Portfolio Margin
OKX matches Bybit at 100x on BTC and ETH and beats it on how margin is shared. Perpetuals, spot and options draw on one collateral pool, so a hedge can lower what the book needs, across 482 perpetual markets under unified margin. VIP 1 is 100,000 USDT in assets or 5 million USD in 30-day volume, then 0.0160% maker and 0.0450% taker. The account model is on OKX Learn.
The stop stays manual. Trailing stops and take-profit or stop-loss are prices you set, and same-side orders average into one position. Grid and signal bots are there, which Bybit also has, so the real difference is the shared collateral, not a new stop. The screens are denser than Bybit’s ticket. US access is closed.
- Key Strengths: Portfolio margin, a bot menu inside the unified account, and two paths into VIP 1.
- Limitations: No higher leverage than Bybit on BTC and ETH, and no fee-inclusive breakeven stop.
3. Binance: The Alternative When the Book Is the Problem
Binance is the liquidity pick in this set. Its BTC and ETH books are the deepest here, leverage goes to 125x, and the catalog is about 800 perpetuals across USD-M and Coin-M settlement options. For sizable orders, this depth keeps execution slippage minimal. New accounts stay at 20x for 30 days. The contract notes are on Binance Academy.
The fee path is steeper than both Bybit and BloFin. VIP 1 needs 5 million USD in 30-day volume plus 5 BNB held, and the standard USDT taker stays 0.0500% unless the BNB discount applies. Stops are manual, the same habit as Bybit, without a fee-inclusive breakeven. Portfolio margin is available. Binance left the European Union on 1 July 2026, US access is through Binance.US. It has exited Canada.
- Key Strengths: The deepest BTC and ETH books, 125x on majors, and about 800 perpetuals.
- Limitations: The first real fee cut needs millions in volume plus BNB, and a new account is capped at 20x for 30 days.
4. Bitget: A Higher Cap, Built Around Copying
Bitget clears Bybit’s 100x cap, at 125x on BTC and ETH across 700+ perpetuals. Base fees are 0.0200% maker and 0.0600% taker. One-Click Copy Trade shows drawdown, 30-day return and win rate before you mirror a book. That is the same social job Bybit also offers, with a larger follower network behind it. Specs are on Bitget Academy.
It does not reprice a stop for fees and funding, and it does not keep same-side positions separate. The protection fund averaged about 382 million dollars in August 2026, above its 300 million dollar floor, with monthly Merkle proof of reserves. VIP 1 arrives at 30,000 USDT in assets, while the perpetual taker stays near 0.0600%. Long-tail books thin out in a spike.
- Key Strengths: 125x on majors, the largest copy-trading network, and a protection fund above its 300 million dollar floor.
- Limitations: Copying a trader is not stop automation, and the taker barely moves at VIP 1.
5. MEXC: The Leverage Print, With Ordinary Stops
MEXC is the alternative if the only gap with Bybit is the leverage number on the opening tier. BTC and ETH reach 500x there, the catalog runs past 1,000 perpetuals, and eligible web trades are 0% maker and 0.0200% taker across USDT-M and Coin-M settlement. API orders price at 0.0600% maker and 0.0800% taker. Notes are on MEXC Learn.
The stop is a standard take-profit or stop-loss, with no fee-and-funding breakeven and no split positions on one contract. Brackets step down fast, so 500x is a small-position tier, and the commodities board (gold and silver) is the one that goes to 1000x. Hong Kong’s SFC has warned that the platform is unlicensed. Secondary books are thin, and the US, UK and Canada are restricted.
- Key Strengths: 500x on BTC and ETH, zero maker fees on web orders, and the widest catalog.
- Limitations: Manual stops, a much higher API schedule, and the SFC warning on the entity.
6. Kraken Pro: Leave Bybit for the Entity, Not the Tools
Kraken Pro is the alternative when the issue is who holds the account, not which button places the stop. BTC and ETH moved to 100x in May 2026, level with Bybit, across 300+ perpetuals, from 0.0200% maker and 0.0500% taker. Further cuts scale with volume. Eligible US traders reach CME micro contracts through Kraken Derivatives US with clean domestic clearing. Rules are on Kraken Learn.
Stops are manual, and a second entry on the same side changes the average because positions do not stay split. Altcoin leverage stays in a 20x to 50x band. Founded in 2011, with the first proof of reserves in 2014 and no catastrophic exchange breach since its founding. Which contracts you can open depends on residency.
- Key Strengths: US, UK and EU standing, CME micros, and a fifteen-year security record.
- Limitations: Same 100x cap as Bybit on BTC and ETH, a smaller board, and no fee-inclusive stop.
What You Give Up by Leaving Bybit
Bybit’s ticket is fast, and the bracket order (entry, take-profit and stop-loss together) is the habit most of its traders would miss. The alternatives above do not all replace that habit.
- BloFin replaces the leverage cap and the stop logic. The board is smaller.
- OKX replaces the margin model. The leverage cap does not move.
- Binance replaces the book depth. The fee ladder and the regional blocks get worse.
- Bitget replaces the copy-trading network. The taker fee does not.
- MEXC replaces the leverage print. The stop and the regulatory standing do not.
- Kraken Pro replaces the entity. The toolset does not.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why look for a Bybit alternative?
Usually for one of three gaps: BTC and ETH leverage stops at 100x, the first fee cut needs 100,000 USDT in assets or 10 million USDT in monthly volume, and the stop is a price you type. A trailing stop does not add fees and funding into the trigger.
Which Bybit alternative has higher leverage on BTC and ETH?
BloFin goes to 150x. Binance and Bitget go to 125x. MEXC prints 500x on the opening tier, with an SFC warning attached. OKX and Kraken Pro stay at 100x, the same cap as Bybit.
Does any alternative include fees in the breakeven stop?
BloFin’s Auto Breakeven does. It moves the stop to true breakeven, fees and funding included, once an activation price prints. Bybit, OKX, Binance, Bitget, MEXC and Kraken Pro leave that price to the trader.
Is Bybit still available in the UK?
UK access reopened in December 2025 through FCA-authorised Archax. The United States and Canada remain closed.
