Celtic striker Camilo Duran has been on cloud nine these past few days due to the birth of his second child, but in terms of the football, despite also adding to his impressive scoring tally in Lisbon, the Colombian can’t shake off the disappointment of the side crashing to a 4-1 defeat…
He said: “I’m happy to see the baby is coming and I’m happy to score the goal but obviously I’m really sad for the team losing the game.
“Obviously we came here (to Lisbon) to get the win and try to get the three points. Or even one point, something positive for us. We couldn’t but now we need to have a rest and focus on the next game.”
The 24-year-old admits that the team’s next Europa League game against Celta Vigo feels like a must-win following their opening two losses.
Camilo explained his thoughts on the need to get points on the board quickly if Celtic are to have any chance of progressing. “Yeah. Obviously we have to win the game, especially at home. We just need to get the results.”

Duran has shown his versatility since signing in the summer, proving effective both on the wing and at centre forward. He started wide in the recent match before being moved centrally, where he looks more comfortable, but says he’s willing to play whenever the manager wants him.
Duran said: “I just do whatever job I’ve been given and I just try to do my best for the team. So that doesn’t really matter.”

With a poor record in big games this season, the onus and pressure is on the Celtic team to bounce back, against a Hearts side on a good run of form, and one that will be looking for revenge after suffering defeat on their last visit to Celtic Park, one that deliciously cost them the league title.
“We just need to prepare well. Obviously that’s a big game. Like every game, we just need to prepare ourselves to get the results,” Duran said.

It seems an obvious decision for Martin O’Neill to start playing Camilo Duran through the middle with perhaps Hassan and young Callum Osmand on the wings tomorrow afternoon. Kasper Hogh has had plenty of chances to lead the line ahead of Duran but has not impressed.
That should see him drop to the bench with the Colombia given his chance to be the first pick Celtic number nine.

Camilo Duran deserves his opportunity to lead the line for Celtic. Surely Martin O’Neill must see this too?
