Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star Davido has announced that he will perform at the 2026 Calabar Carnival and Festival in Cross River State on December 29.
He announced the news on X on Wednesday, confirming both the date and venue for his performance.
“Calabar Carnival and Festival. We have a date: 29th December, 2026. Main bowl U.J. Esuene Stadium. See you there,” he wrote.
This announcement comes before the annual festival, which brings visitors to Calabar for cultural displays, music, and carnival activities during the festive season.
The 2026 festival is themed ‘Rethinking Our Collective Destiny.’ Organisers say the event aims to support cultural preservation, tourism, and creative businesses.
The festival’s official schedule shows that activities will take place throughout December, including cultural exhibitions, music performances, and the carnival parade.
The grand parade and band competition are set for December 28. On December 29, the programme features the bikers carnival and insomnia night at U.J. Esuene Stadium.
