"We welcome the energy ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine when it holds. We have not yet seen Russia actually follow it," says EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas on her way to today's EU foreign ministers' meeting in Luxembourg.
EU countries are also expected to finalize new sanctions today against more than 1,600 people, organizations and companies accused of supporting Russia's war in Ukraine.
"We continue on our path. We see that only pressure on Russia works," says Kallas.
An agreement is also expected to launch an EU operation to train soldiers and security personnel in Lebanon, partly as a replacement for the UN operation that is due to end soon.
