KUALA LUMPUR: A 49-year-old man died when a helium tank exploded at a scrap metal factory in Sungai Chua, Kajang, this morning.
Selangor fire and rescue department operations assistant director Ashrul Riezal Asbar said the victim was welding at the scrap metal factory when the incident occurred.
He said the victim suffered severe injuries in the explosion.
"He was later pronounced dead by health ministry personnel," he said in a statement.
