PETALING JAYA: Two new Warisan vice-presidents were elected from eight party leaders who contested the three posts at the party’s election held during its annual general meeting today.
Kota Belud MP Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis and former Warisan information chief Azis Jamman joined returning vice-president Junz Wong.
The other leaders who were in the running were incumbents Jaujan Sambakong and Terrence Siambun, as well as Darau assemblyman Azhar Matussin, Kapayan assemblyman Chin Tek Ming and Kota Belud Warisan deputy chief Charles Ebbie.
Jenifer Lasimbang was elected the party’s Wanita chief, Norsabrina Japar was elected the Wirawati chief, and Khairuddin Daud won the Wira chief’s post unopposed.
Borneo Post previously reported that Warisan’s top two posts would not be contested once again, with founding president Shafie Apdal to remain party chief for another term, and Darell Leiking to continue serving as his deputy.
